Jenkins Barn

Jenkins Barn, 18012 Highway 5, Carlisle (Warren County) – From Carlisle, go south-east on Highway 5.

Built in 1947 by the Randleman Family of Carlisle.  Originally built out of native, rough-sawn lumber from a local sawmill and clad with pine car siding. Gothic-arch style barn with large, re-floored hay loft.  Built as a 24-cow dairy barn and still includes some of the original stanchions. Converted to hog farrowing in 1960’s and prior to restoration was a home for hogs, horses, raccoons, groundhogs and foxes.  Restored to near original in 2018-2019.  Used as a working building for plant production and garden education classroom at Jenkins Garden Market in Carlisle.
