The Iowa Barn Foundation holds two Barn Tours each year, the All-State Barn Tour (September) and the Spring Barn Tour (June). While our self-guided tours are free and open to the public, they are made possible by our generous member donors. Please consider becoming a member donor today to help save Iowa’s historic barns, and you will receive our spring and fall magazines in your mailbox which include barn articles and detailed tour guides.
Upcoming Tours:
June 21-22, 2025 – Planning is underway for our spring 2025 tour in East-Central Iowa, which will feature the Bickett-Rate Historical Preserve Barn near the unincorporated village of Buchanan in Cedar County and will feature a Saturday lunch at the Cedar County Historical Society Museum and Prairie Village site at Tipton.
September 13-14, 2025 – Our fall all-state tour will feature over 90 barns across the entire state (details coming in June, 2025).
